Underline was founded in 2019 with a singular mission: to ensure the vibrancy of our nation through building intelligent community infrastructure in a socially equitable manner. We work with American communities to design, finance, and construct open access fiber-optic networks. These networks are critical to secure internet access that’s fast, affordable, and fair. As open access networks, this infrastructure is also the essential foundation for distributed healthcare services, new wireless solutions, and resilient infrastructure including modernized water systems and responsible energy creation. Our first two projects are in Colorado Springs and Fountain, Colorado.
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Sales Manager to lead our efforts in ElPaso County. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving market growth, leading a local sales team, and building strong relationships within the community. As the face of Underline in El Paso County, you’ll champion our mission and foster strategic connections with key stakeholders, while working across internal teams to deliver results.
Your success in this role will rely on your ability to build a high-performing sales team, establish strong local market presence, and close deals effectively, all while maintaining alignment between local operations and company-wide objectives.

Strategic Team Development
● Lead and develop the local sales team to meet customer acquisition and revenue targets.
● Streamline communication and processes between sales, client success, and technical service teams.
● Implement efficient sales processes for faster deal closures.
● Conduct competitive market assessments and devise response strategies.
● Foster a strong team culture, organizing team building activities and local events.
Community Engagement
● Act as Underline’s local representative, building relationships with community leaders.
● Serve as the face of the company through public speaking, events, and sponsorships.
● Cultivate strategic relationships with keyfigures in business, government, and the local community.
● Manage memberships and involvement with theChamber of Commerce and other local organizations.
● Collaborate with marketing to ensure brand alignment and message consistency in all communications.
Budget Oversight
● Manage the budget for sponsorships, sales events, and community activities.
● Oversee local office budgets and employee engagement initiatives.
● 10+ years of experience in thetelecommunications industry.
● Extensive experience in El Paso County’sbusiness landscape.
● Proven success in B2B sales, clientacquisition, and closing deals.
● Track record of establishing processes anddeveloping teams.
● Experience engaging with localmunicipalities and community leaders.
● Strong event planning and budget managementskills.
● Expertise in leading sales teams, fosteringaccountability, and bridging communication gaps.
● Deep commitment to community developmentand equitable infrastructure.
